Sakurai Yuki is an orphan with a mysterious ability. Found near the fence of his current home, the Asahi Orphanage, Yuki strives for independence. The last thing he wants is to be a burden on anybody. His ability makes this nearly impossible, however; whenever he touches someone, he feel their emotions and see the darkness within their hearts and exactly what caused such darkness. Unable to control his ability, Yuki has often made insensitive blunders while trying to empathize with the person he feels pain for. Ai no Kusabi (2012)

One elite member, Iason, encounters a mongrel named Riki in the slums and decides to take him in. However, Iason keeps Riki longer than it is socially approved, and rumors abound about their possible relationship.

You Keika, the heir of an old famous family of Exorcists, is stricken with poverty after losing his parents and struggles as a street fortune teller and a part time computer tech. One night at a junkyard, he meets a mysterious and charismatic Exorcist, Tanmoku Ki, who is fighting an evil spirit. To compound his misfortunes, he gets hit by car and becomes a ghost. Tanmoku Ki appears and asks You Keika to make a “pact” with him to fight Evil Spirits together. Here starts the friendship of our heroes! A Japanese dub was then produced by Haoliner's Japanese branch, Emon, which aired on TV in Winter 2017 under the title Spiritpact. Each TV episode was comprised of two ONA episodes with minor aesthetic touch-ups. Thus, the Japanese (and Crunchyroll-licensed) version has 10 episodes at 24 minutes each.</i>
